The Minister’s Collar: A Symbol of Sacred Service
Within the One Light Federation—and at the Pakenham Spiritualist Centre—the Minister’s Collar is a sacred vestment worn by ordained ministers. Far more than a visual signifier, it reflects a deeply held commitment to spiritual service, humility, and integrity.
The Spiritual Meaning of the Collar
The collar is a symbol of surrender to Spirit and an outward sign of an inward vow. Ministers who wear the collar have accepted a lifelong dedication to:
- Serve Spirit and the greater good
- Uphold the principles of truth, compassion, and integrity
- Act as channels of love, healing, and guidance
The collar reminds both the wearer and the community of the sacred responsibility entrusted to those in spiritual leadership.
Simplicity, Service & Surrender
The traditional white collar signifies purity of intention, and its simplicity points to a life centered not on status, but on service.
Ministers are called to:

- Represent the One Light Federation with grace

Called by Spirit
Those who wear the collar have been spiritually called to the ministry and have undergone a process of training, discernment, and ordination. Their path is one of continuous learning, spiritual responsibility, and community care.
The collar is worn at ceremonies, services, and sacred gatherings as a visible affirmation of that calling.

The Emblem on our Minister’s Collar
IT WAS IN NOVEMBER 2014, THAT RIGHT REVEREND JENNIFER’S SPIRIT-GUIDES HAD HER DRAW THE “TRUTH” SYMBOL, TRUTH BEING CENTRAL TO WHO WE ARE, WHAT WE TEACH AND THE BASIS OF OUR TEACHINGS.
THE SPIRIT-GUIDE THEN SAID “CONTINUE”, SO WITH THE INSTRUCTION, JENNIFER DREW A HORIZONTAL LINE AND THE GUIDE SAID “THIS INDICATES THAT YOU ARE ETERNAL AND HIGHLIGHTS YOUR CONNECTION WITH AND EMPHASISES THAT YOU ARE ONE WITH THE CHRIST-CONSCIOUSNESS.
THE GUIDE THEN SAID “DRAW AN INFINITY SYMBOL NOW, AS YOU ARE INFINITE AND NOTICE THAT THE IMAGE APPEARS AS AN ANGEL, AS YOU WORK WITH THE ANGELS.
IN CLOSING, THE GUIDE SAID, “DRAW TWO CIRCLES AROUND THE IMAGE, ONE CLOCK-WISE, ONE ANTI-CLOCKWISE, AS YOU ARE UNIVERSAL”
