Story: “The thread of light”

A young man named Eli wandered the forest, lost in thought. He had been searching for something—peace, maybe, or truth—but he wasn’t sure anymore. Life felt too loud, and his heart too heavy.

He came across an old woman sitting beneath a wide tree. She was sewing with a thread so bright it shimmered in the sunlight.

“What are you making?” Eli asked.

She smiled. “I’m not making anything. I’m remembering.”

“Remembering?”

“Yes,” she said. “This thread… it’s made from light. I use it to stitch back the pieces of myself I’ve forgotten.”

Eli sat beside her. “Can I try?”

She handed him a piece. As he held it, he saw flashes—his childhood laughter, the kindness of strangers, moments of wonder. Tears welled up.

“I didn’t know I still had these inside me.”

“You never lost them,” she said. “You just forgot. The world has a way of covering our light with noise.”

He sat quietly, weaving his own thread.

And as he did, Eli stopped searching.

Because he had found something better.

He had remembered.

Service Reflection

Key Theme: Strive to Remember Who You Truly Are—A Soul of Eternal Light

This spiritually rich and inclusive service encouraged all present to:

  • Remember their true spiritual identity—that beyond all material distractions and challenges, we are souls made of light, divine breath, and eternal energy.
  • Trust in eternal truths—as the teachings of Silver Birch remind us, Spirit is the only real foundation we can stand on, not matter or ego.
  • Act as conscious co-creators of healing in the world—through meditation, prayer, service, and compassion.
  • Know that you are never alone—Spirit, guides, loved ones, and the Great White Spirit walk with us through all trials.

The messages of the day harmonised around the principle that: “You are a soul wearing a divine garment; you belong to eternity. Strive to remember this, especially when the world feels heavy.”
