Story: “The quiet flame”

There once was a man named Leo who attended a spiritual service much like this one. He sat quietly, always in the back row. He never gave talks, never led prayers—but he never missed a service.

Some didn’t notice him. Others wondered why he didn’t do more.

What they didn’t see was that every week, Leo arrived early to tidy the chairs. He left envelopes of tea on the kitchen bench with notes like “for someone who needs comfort.” He donated anonymously, swept the steps, and smiled gently at newcomers.

Years passed.

When Leo passed into Spirit, the hall was filled—more than anyone expected. Not because he had a title… but because he had touched lives.

“He spoke to me once,” a woman said, “when I thought no one saw me.”

“He left soup on my doorstep after my mum passed,” said another.

And one medium, with tears in her eyes, said,

“Spirit shows me he never needed the spotlight—because his soul was the light.”

Leo wasn’t loud.

He was love.

Key Theme: The Soul is Eternal—Awaken to Your Light and Let Service Be Your Legacy

This rich and spiritually nourishing service centred around the sacred nature of the soul and the joy and responsibility of spiritual service:

  • You are a soul first, always. As Silver Birch teaches, the soul is the divine breath, the eternal spark gifted to us by the Great Spirit. It is not something we have—it is who we are.
  • Earthly life is an opportunity to awaken. The world is filled with “living sleepwalkers” who move through life disconnected from spiritual truth. Our job is not to judge, but to help awaken.
  • Service is the highest form of spirituality. Helping others—whether human, animal, or Earth—is the greatest work we can do. It is more powerful than words, status, or ritual.
  • Love in action is how the divine moves. Quiet, humble deeds often shine brightest in the spirit world. Our energy ripples far beyond our awareness.

In essence: You are not here to be perfect. You are here to remember your light, awaken others gently, and serve the world with love.
